I was having a hard time finding hinges for my kitchen cabinet. I'm NOT a skilled DIYer. I bought several hinges online with other companies but I have a unique hinge that required specific dimensions. Not only did Amerock have detailed specs and advice, they had quality hinges that perfectly matched my old hinges. My house was built in 1962. Needed a handle on another cabinet. Again, Amerock had a match. Prices very reasonable, shipping EXCELLENT. Solid products. I now trust Amerock with all my kitchen hardware. Happy Dedicated Customer!

I had to use this newer version of the Amerock hinge to replace the older version which wore out after 20+ years. I was able to use two of the previous screw points for attachment (thankfully the main indented hole in which the main works attached and the single wall attachment hole were identical) and made it pretty easy to pop back in. The tricky part was to make sure the new holes for the two door screws were placed correctly. Fortunately the new holes were far enough away from the others, but the recommended size of the drill bit made it hard to accommodate the included plastic plug. It would not hammer all the way in and I had to undrill portions of it out in order to get the screw in properly. Beyond that, it was smooth going. I did employ a drill stop attachment to the bit to prevent going too far into the surface and through the face of the door. I noticed the new version of the bracket allows adjustments for the poor souls who mismeasure or have shaky hands when they drill the wall hole. Now you can adjust it upward, sideways or down once attached. Good addition! This hinge allows smooth and soundless closure. Now that I know what I'm doing to replace when needed, I'm ordering 10 sets to have on hand if needed for future use, just in case.....
